As artists we understand creativity and putting our hearts into our music, and we put that same passion into every strap we build.

Matt pretty much runs the day-to-day operations at Couch as far as answering your questions and making sure your order gets out. He also helps schedule and control the flow of what’s getting made and who’s doing what. He plays Bass in Hex Code and even did tech for The Afghan Whigs back in the day. He likes the Cleveland Browns.

Mitch makes furniture and sews already so we were like, hey you should come work with us. He's also a skilled luthier and works on both guitars and violins alike.

Mariah came to us from the design department at Orange Coast College where she learned to sew. She’s also worked at a few clothing brands and will occasionally change her hair color, so don’t get too used to this one. She can now be found here making your handbag or stitching a cat or skull onto your guitar strap.

Dan started Couch out of his garage in 1999 and is stoked to see how his idea has grown into a thriving company involving the skills and contributions of so many talented people. When not designing, making and shipping your straps, Dan has licensed over 100 songs to film and television and has played so many gigs in so many bands he lost track last year.

Bird came to us through the fashion program at Orange Coast College, and we couldn’t be happier to have her helping us out. She likes punk rock, chips, and long walks on the beach. She’s works from home connecting with you via our social media. You can catch her deep in the mosh pit with her Doc Martens on.

Aaron is somewhat of a legendary musician around town, and it’s common to see him sitting in on bass or guitar in another great new band. These days you can catch him spinning traditional hawaian music records at the local clubs. He is the man who ships your order, and you’ll often see his name, and sometimes his drawings, scribbled on your order.

Reuben is pretty much the main man here when it comes to strap production and also helps out here and there with shipping and design, and is also full in on product photography. His band, Slef Improvement, can often be found touring up and down the west coast.

Nani first came to Couch to do two things: kick ass and chew bubblegum. And he’s all out of bubblegum! These days he's in charge of all the handmade accessories you see, like wallets and such. He's also our social media lead, photographer, and marketing expert. He wears a lot of hats around here!

Nic studied music in college and also likes to get paid regularly to take the stage with his standup bass and play some score, and will rock out too because that’s how he is. He also managed a music store, so besides being a killer musician and good guy, he’s our liaison with the amazing network of independent music stores that carry Couch.
