Guitar Strap Care Guide

Guitar Strap Care Guide

1. Materials Matter

Each Couch strap is made with durable, high-quality materials—including automotive and upholstery vinyl, recycled seatbelts, and heavy-duty stitching. Our straps are made to last, but a little care will help them look even better over time.

2. Cleaning Your Strap

To clean your guitar strap:

  • Wipe down with a damp cloth to remove dust or dirt
  • Use mild soap (like dish soap) on vinyl if needed — avoid harsh cleaners
  • Pat dry with a towel and let air dry before use

3. Storing Your Strap

Avoid leaving your strap in direct sunlight or extreme heat for long periods (like inside a hot car). Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. If rolled, avoid tight coils that could crease the material.

4. Caring for Vegan Leather

Couch uses animal-friendly vinyl and seatbelt materials that are tough and low-maintenance. They won’t crack or flake like cheap synthetics, but keeping them clean and dry will extend their life even further.

5. Vintage Fabrics & Limited Editions

If your strap features vintage or delicate materials, we recommend gentle handling and spot-cleaning only. These straps are built strong but benefit from a little extra care.
