This acoustic guitar strap or electric guitar strap has a timeless classic vintage look to it. It is very mod and reminds us of Speed Racer and Racer X. The basic design is based on the Ernie Ball type of guitar strap that dates way back to the 60's, but our version is vinyl, and improved by the long offset racing stripe that runs the length of the strap.The end tabs are made of 3 layers of auto, couch and marine upholstery vinyl and the inside piece is made with a super- strong, fiberglass reinforced, vegan power pad material that lets you rock cruelty free. The back tab has 3 hand-tooled stainless steel rivets holding it together. We designed this as our version of a Fender guitar strap we wish they made, but in time we saw they go great as Gibson guitar straps too. Check it our on the Gibson acoustic guitar for instance. So strong and oh it looks so good! No leather guitar straps here! It’s a great boyfriend or girlfriend gift idea for the musician in your life. The offset stripe
A long, sparkling gold stripe runs the full length of the strap against deep black vinyl.

Guitar Strap Care Guide
Vinyl is about as low-maintenance as it gets — no conditioning, no special oils, no fuss. Here’s how to keep your Couch strap (and your guitar) looking great for years.
Everyday Care
- Wipe it down after sweaty gigs or practice sessions with a damp cloth — vinyl doesn’t stain or soak in the way leather does.
- Skip the leather conditioners and saddle soap. Every Couch strap is vinyl, not leather, so those products won’t do anything for it — just plain water on a cloth is plenty.
- Store it somewhere dry and out of prolonged direct sun; like any colored material, extended sun exposure can fade it over time.
- Adjust the length with the slide buckle — no need to punch new holes or stretch it in.
Know Your Guitar’s Finish
- Poly / polyurethane finish (most modern, factory-made guitars): totally fine with any strap material — no precautions needed.
- Nitro-cellulose lacquer finish (vintage instruments, custom shop builds, some higher-end Gibsons): case it up when not playing, and keep sweat, cologne, and alcohol away.
A vinyl strap won’t hurt a modern poly finish. If you’ve got a vintage or nitro-finished guitar, just avoid leaving any strap — ours or anyone else’s — cinched against it for extended storage, same as you’d avoid leaving it on a stand for months.
