The Pasha

Vintage Pasha Automotive Fabric
Burgundy & White

We don’t manufacture fabric. We find it. This one came out of a deadstock roll of 1970s automotive upholstery — the bold two-color check that lined the seats of the most sought-after sport cars of the era. It was never supposed to end up on a guitar. We cut thirty-eight straps out of it. That’s the whole run.

What you’re holding

A pattern built for 140 mph.

01 — About the fabric

Woven for a car, not a guitar

Pasha is a distinctive woven check developed for luxury automotive interiors in the 1970s and ’80s — a bold geometric grid used to line the seats and door panels of some of the most sought-after sport cars of the era.

The weave is a tight, durable upholstery cloth built to survive daily abuse. It is substantial, it doesn’t stretch out, and it ages well.

02 — The colorway

Burgundy & white

The burgundy and white colorway on this run is one of the most classic expressions of the pattern — deep oxblood against a warm bone, in a plush velour check that catches the light differently from every angle.

What you are buying is genuine vintage deadstock: fabric produced decades ago and sitting unused ever since.

Nobody else will have one

The check is unmistakable from across a room, and almost nobody will be able to place where they have seen it before. It sits warm against cherry, sunburst and natural finishes, and it is the rare strap that looks better worn in than new.

05 — A note on quantity

Thirty-eight, and then never again

We made exactly as many of these as the fabric allowed. No more, no less. When this run sells out it is gone — we can’t reorder the material, because it no longer exists in production.

If you get one, you have one of a very small number in the world. That’s not marketing language. That’s just what it means to work with vintage materials.
