If it's sister strap the Static Age Linear VHF is the broadcast, Static Age Squiggle UHF is the signal drifting just a little wild. We found this true vintage 1970s velour alongside the Linear pattern, same warehouse, same forgotten roll—just the blue / teal / faded red sibling to the original.
This one leans into the shades-of-blue side while staying decidely in the 1970s palette. Think deep blue base, wave-like squiggles of teal, washed-out red, and warm beige wandering across the fabric like a TV picture dialing itself into place. It has that unmistakable crushed velvet / velour texture—soft to the touch with a subtle reflective sheen.
Finished with black automotive-grade vegan upholstery vinyl end tabs, aged bronze hardware, and a gold-foil stamped back, every detail lands in the same era.
This run is even smaller than the Linear version—only about 120 straps total. When this fabric is gone, the Squiggle UHF retires for good.
