Green Face Mask - Made In USA

These face masks are being designed now in conjunction with the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services for immediate need at the Housing for Health Department working with L.A.'s homeless population. There is a ton of information about face masks and face mask designs, we've read just about all of it and Couch designed these masks with the best information currently available now. There is no perfect design, but the Couch design relies on two layers of woven fabric, an outer layer of green cotton and an inner layer of soft black cotton and provides high cover of the face and nose, and wraps down around the chin for maximum surface coverage. Elastic bands wrap around your head and pull the mask snug to your face.

This material is fully breathable but offers a significant amount of basic level protection as defined by the Center for Disease Control. The inner sleeve is open to accommodate additional fabric, HEPA or N95 filter inserts. Read our blog and other information out there on mask effectiveness, best practices and insert effectiveness, but there is some evidence that blue shop paper towels and even basic kitchen paper towels are also effective as additional inserts. A simple layer of woven fabric like chiffon, flannel or denim will also add effectiveness according to Wake Forest Institute for Regenerative Medicine. The mask functions at the basic effective level without inserts. Made in the USA.
