We found the last of this beautiful vintage oxblood chevron vinyl at an old auto upholstery shop near Toledo, Ohio. In addition to 1960's GMC Trucks, this vinyl was also used in Chevy and Ford vans & trucks into the early 1980's. It's rare, rad, rough and ready. After a few weeks in your pocket this vinyl stretches just a bit "settles in" like it would on the bench of one of those old trucks and just feels great......and lasts forever. This particular dark red, maroon, wine, oxblood color is extremely rare. We've been looking some of it for years -ever since we saw it in the bucket seats of our neighbor's old van- and were very excited to find just the few yards that we were able to score to make these mens wallets.
The coin pouch compartment is designed to keep it slim, light and clutter free, with just enough space for a little change and maybe a guitar pick or two. There are two slots for your cards and even a hidden slot behind change pocket for lesser used cards. The low cut front card pocket is for easy ID access, and everything is kept secure with a custom steel snap. The pattern and texture is as amazing as the vinyl is vintage and rare and this thicker vintage vinyl looks brilliant as the flap folds over and snaps to the other side of the wallet. We make these by personally hand cutting each pattern out with a 16 ton die cutter, and then hand silk-screening a Couch logo pattern on the inside, leaving it unlined for a slimmer profile. Also available in Red, Grey, and tan.
