Our brand new second-run limited edition Skullphone strap is even better than the first batch, which has long been sold out.
The new 2007 version continues with the white Skullphone image silk screened onto all black vinyl, but instead of the army green clips, we put army green deadstock vinyl on the back and metal hardware to match the hand-tooled stainless steel rivets on the back end-tab. The result is a very heavy, industrial looking strap. We love it! And this is not some generic skull art for another cheesy skull guitar strap either.
The Skullphone Artist Series Guitar Strap designed by guerilla artist Spazmat. If you live in or around L.A., New York or other big cities it’s likely you’ve seen this image plastered up on abandoned hotel or big-building walls, in an art gallery show for Paper Magazine, flashing on an old fuzzy black and white television inside the Volcom store on La Brea, on a broken skateboard handbag by Beck(y), back stage on a t-shirt at The Coachella Valley Music Festival… well you get the idea. We had this skull-on-cell-phone image on a favorite t-shirt of our own that we loved so much, we asked Spazmat to help us design a black vinyl vegan guitar strap with a 3-up of his image across the front.
What else can we say about Skullphone guitar strap other than it’s an exercise in good taste and simplicity? Look for it also at the Los Angeles County Museum Of Art satellite store in Santa Monica with some of Spazmat’s other pieces.
P.S.- we will try to throw in some free Skullphone stickers and/or buttons with each strap you buy. Enjoy!
This current 2007 Skullphone run is an Uber-Limited Edition.
